El Salvador- La Cumbre Sl-34

from A$20.00

El Salvador’s has a declining volume of coffee production, the migration crisis, unsustainable coffee prices and global warming are all contributing to making the industry less attractive for the next generation of producers.

However the volume they do produce is a greater quality than commercial, and the lots we see are uniformly high quality.

These coffees are both from the farm La Cumbre, Cumbre is part of a collective of 6 farms owned by Emilio López and Jose Roberto Santamaría. They also own and distribute through Odyssey Coffee based in the USA. Their combined families manage all the farms, which are located in close proximity to each other.

La Cumbre has a diverse group of varietals alongside facilities to create Natural and washed coffee efficiently. We purchased both this lot Sl-34 a varietal developed in Kenya, alongside a Pacamara: one of the world’s oldest coffee varietals.

A full Natural, expect flavors of Orange Blossom, White Grape, Orange Juice and Mango/Tropical Sweetness. This coffee has a medium weight and a medium long finish.
